Modern vehicle electronics are increasingly vulnerable to tampering and hacking, leading many manufacturers to restrict access to diagnostic data for their new models. This shift has created challenges for independent car repair shops, which now face difficulties in accessing vehicle electronics due to varying manufacturer-specific gateways and payment systems.
To mitigate these issues, Bosch has developed Secure Diagnostic Access (SDA), a centralised and standardised solution that simplifies access to protected vehicle electronics.
