The STEAM Acadamy, Pencoed, Bridgend has been announced as the location for the first day of Denton & Pells: The Future of Automotive Technology and Training, with the second day hosted at Avia Autos.
The Academy is a flagship for showcasing 21st century teaching and learning, bringing economic and cultural growth to the Bridgend County Borough area. This is in line with a bid to develop further employment and training opportunities in the region, in keeping with Welsh Government’s strategic priorities. The £30 million flagship centre for Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics opened just this month.
The project has been partly funded by the Welsh Government through its 21st Century Schools and Education Programme, which aims to transform the learning experience of learners, ensuring they are taught in classrooms with the technologies and facilities needed to deliver a 21st Century curriculum.
