Showcasing its state-of-the-art diagnostic technology on stand A28, HELLA Gutmann’s mega macs family of diagnostic equipment is expected to attract the attention of independent garages seeking a more flexible approach to diagnostics.
“From customisable diagnostic equipment to specialised solutions for hybrid and electric vehicles, we are committed to empowering garages with the technology they need to thrive in today’s automotive industry,” said Julian Goulding, Head of Sales at Hella Gutmann. “Our variable software and licensing models give workshops the option to choose what’s right for them and, should those requirements change at any time, they can simply upgrade their licence to unlock additional new functionality.”
Hella Gutmann’s mega macs X allows garage owners to choose which functions and technical data they require for multi-brand diagnostics. Three software modules bring a choice of functions, from basic to advanced capabilities. It means garages only pay for what they need.
Also on display will be the Hella Gutmann MT-HV, which extends the capabilities of mega macs X for hybrid and electric vehicles, allowing technicians to take all measurements in the high and low voltage range.
Attendees at the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event will be treated to an exclusive chance to win one of six macsRemote vehicle communication interfaces (VCI), each boasting a value of £850. To be in with a chance of winning one, visitors are encouraged to play ‘spin the wheel’ on the event organiser stand.
For the very latest models to be launched by vehicle manufacturers (VMs), which even the most up-to-date aftermarket tools cannot cater for, Hella Gutmann’s macsRemote Services provides a gateway for independent garages. Remote access to VM diagnostic tools means workshops now have unparalleled access to diagnostic functions and support.
“Technicians simply connect the macsRemote VCI to the car and create a job ticket via the Hella Gutmann online portal,” said Julian. “From here, technical experts can remotely access all the vehicle’s electronic systems and perform the required tasks using VM diagnostic equipment. With no ongoing license charges, it’s a cost-effective pay-as-you-go solution.”
Elsewhere at the event, Stephen Fox, HELLA UK Technical and Training Manager for Garage Equipment is hosting a presentation on ‘The ADAS Opportunity for Independent Garages’. The must-attend session will explore the evolving landscape of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and what it means for workshops. The talk takes place on Wednesday June 5th from 1.30pm and will be repeated on Thursday June 6th at 1.00pm.
