I ask asked James, how he started out in the detailing industry, and he responded, ‘when we first founded the business back in 2015, it would have been fair to say that around 5% of the market in the UK of people that care for their cars the right way knew what detailing was, whereas 95% were probably still doing it the wrong way. If you Fast Forward to today, we’re around the 10% figure. So, the industry has doubled. There’s more and more interest coming into the sector, because people want to care about their prized assets in the right way. And detailing is the way to do that, whether it’s by a professional or following detailing practices to do it yourself at home. And so it’s a huge emerging opportunity for the overall automotive market. The way that we’re looking to grow our business over the next 12 months is by helping automotive businesses make more money from detailing.’
James then added ‘As the market emerged, a number of people got into it because they just love cars. What’s now becoming very evident is cars are one of our most prized assets and probably the second most expensive thing that anybody will ever buy. Keeping that in optimum condition not only plays into the happiness that the owner is able to experience, but also the value that they’re able to retain. And the good on the investment that they’re willing and able to make if they’ve just spent 70,000 pounds on a car. Following good detailing practices or using professional detailing services means they get every penny of that 70,000 pounds investment because it makes them smile each and every single day.’
