ATIEL have announced the release of ACEA 2021 – Light Duty Sequences, developed to meet the demands of the latest generation of gasoline and diesel, passenger car and van engines.
Two new categories have been added:
– ACEA C6: For modern turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) and Diesel engines.
– ACEA A7/B7: For Gasoline and Diesel engines without Gasoline Particulate Filters (GPF) or Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF).
These new specifications address the following: Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI), fuel economy, timing chain wear, turbocharger deposits and cam wear. Improvements in these areas ensures that new generation, low-emission engines continue to comply with emissions legislation during their lifetime.
In order to keep pace with these changes, we have upgraded two of our new generation passenger car engine oils: Multivis ECO PV 0W-20 and Multivis ECO V 0W-20. Both of these products now carry the newly released ACEA C6 specification and we are one of the first companies to deliver this latest update.
