“The acquisition of Portable Centres fits into DCR’s strategy to expand our range of Alloy Wheel repair solutions and our Wheel Centres” said Steve Barrett, Managing Director of DCR. “By purchasing Portable Centres, we have not only secured the jobs of Portable Centres’ staff but now are in control of the development and manufacturing of our own Wheel Centres as well as adding an entire range of automotive modular buildings to our portfolio.”
The strategical purchase of Portable Centres enables us to develop and complement our range of Alloy Wheel Solutions, whilst also increasing future development. The move has led to further expansion for DCR with five new job opportunities being created in the Portsmouth area.”
“To be able to regain control over Portable Centres after 3 years is a great opportunity” added Steve, who initially founded the company in 2014, “and gives our UK based business the opportunity to offer a full solution to the automotive industry for alloy wheel refurbishment and repair.”
