Since it’s launch last year, the service has sent over 21,000 jobs into the independent aftermarket, helping to bring business back to garages following the pandemic.
The platform allows drivers to choose from a network of approved garages when buying parts. Drivers pick the parts they need on the LKQ Euro Car Parts consumer website, which are then delivered directly to a Fit It For Me-approved garage, to be fitted by a qualified technician. Garages must meet specific quality criteria to be part of the service, which was designed to give new and existing customers the confidence to use the independent aftermarket rather than returning their vehicle to a dealership.
The service is simple and easy to use. When shopping for your parts, simply type your registration number into our fast finder, choose compatible parts, and go to the basket. If your items are eligible for Fit It For Me, you’ll be able to select “view my fittings”, and book to have your parts installed at a workshop of your choice, at a time that suits you. Your parts will be delivered directly to your selected workshop before the fitting date. Simply pay for your fitting when you pick your car up, and get back out on the roads.
By helping garages bring in more work via digital channels, while tapping into a pool of end users that they wouldn’t necessary have direct access to before, the service has helped to generate more than £680,000 of additional labour for garages over the last 12 months. More than 1,450 garages have received bookings through the service, with 81% securing repeat visits from happy customers.
