The idea to create a space that highlighted the best stories across our exceedingly brilliant media titles and partners within the internationally renowned event organiser Messe Frankfurt and bring a dedicated publication online was ambitious, not least in a context of the backdrop of huge global disruption to the way we live our lives and do business . But, to our delight and surprise, we quickly grew a loyal following of automotive and industry readers.
We cannot express enough gratitude to all those that have read and shared our content, and to the media that diligently research and create insightful and informative stories for us to aggregate and share, for our supplier subscribers and to our community editors and contributors who are motivated to driving forward the automotive conversation and informing and educating those on the frontline.
The idea behind AutoResource was to support and connect with our community 365 days a year and to provide a place we could meet digitally while we were unable to meet face-to-face so that we could keep everyone abreast when the conference lights were switched off, and the doors closed. This worked, and worked well.
But as our world and events open back up – including heavy-weights Automechanika Birmingham and UK Garage and Bodyshop Event, we can now return to meeting in person, which we can all agree, is the un-rivalled way to do business and share knowledge. The time has come to evolve AutoResource in its current form, and so after a year of R&D into our readership patterns, strengths and the automotive landscape, we hope the users to the site enjoy a fresh look, much improved UX and a streamlined approach to the latest news and event partners, and a new commitment to deliver even more of what our readers have enjoyed most, and a whole lot more besides.
It is not the end but a rebirth. We hope you enjoy this next part of the AutoResource journey.
